We rejoin our "Heroes", triumphant at successfully navigating The Gauntlet, and joining the ranks of the Radiant Sisters as real Pirates!

The following few days are spent in training. Brighton teaches them all a trick or two that will help them in their new lives as pirates… or as their continued lives as adventurers.

They find out quite a bit about the island and how it works, and start to formulate a plan for achieving some of their aims whilst on the island. Unfortunately, one of these aims - to rescue Bob the cabin boy - takes a backwards step when Brighton hears a boy, probably Bob, being taken into the Sahuagin area one night (our "Heroes" are fast asleep), shortly after their success in The Gauntlet. Brighton doesn't hold out much hope for Bob.

Fully recovered and trained up, the group head back to the Docks area in order to gather more information and better formulate and develop their plan. They think the best starting point is to all find jobs around the docks, which would make them stand out less, give them an income to buy things like food and lodging, and to see who, if anyone, is likely to help them in their endeavours to escape the Island - preferably complete with some of the items they are looking for.

Iwee manages to get an entertainment 'spot' in the "Fill Ya Booty Tavern", run by a dwarf named Gustav, who seems to be of Scandinavian origin, and likes Saunas. Iwee will perform under the name "Big Bertha", which confuses a number of people.

Karoshi, after an intense and on-the-spot 'interview' manages to get a job at the "Shape Ya Booty Forge", under the watchful eye of Morak, the dwarven smith. Karoshi's pirate name of "Red" seems to gain approval - at least from his new employer, who seems to be the strong, silent type.

Jaxii talks more with Bryn, who was the person who sponsored them through The Gauntlet. He is happy to offer her a job at the "Booty Full Brothel", which he has recently taken over, and thinks she will do well with the clients, as they don't get many "exotics" working at the Brothel. A pirate name for Jaxii is not yet firmed up, though the nicknames "Skully" and "Willy" seem to be doing the rounds in equal measure.

Derrick thinks it's worth getting a job as a dock-hand, helping to load and off-load the ships. When he asks Jorell, the half-elven Dockmaster, he is given very short shrift and told to go away. However, he does manage to get in with the crowd of dock workers and thinks he will be able to help out there and earn a few coin. He talks to Midge at the gym and she does offer to put a little work his way when she needs help. His new name of "Magic Boy" is voiced around town quite a lot and although no one at all is referring to "MB" as he would prefer, at least *some* of the townsfolk seem to be saying the name "Magic Boy" with some admiration. Others, including Jorell, seem to be using it with contempt.

And so we leave our "Heroes" contemplating all the knowledge they have gained so far, and working out what things they want to listen out for during their various jobs. They hope that a plan will formulate in at least one of their minds in the coming days, as time is moving on…
